I got a question for the girls here. Would you date an unemployed guy who was actually working hard to find a job? He's also taking part in an employment service to help him out. I'm 19, so I'm talking about girls around this age range, and I'm also still living under my parents' roof.

Also, would you also even sleep with the unemployed guy your dating? I was wondering if a girl would consider it if he's unemployed (but still actively seeking work) because of the chance of pregnancy and the guy would have no job to support the accidental child...

No, if that were to happen, your parents would be forced to support you. Do you want to put that burden on them?

I did. I meant supporting your pregnancy which you were talking about. You are young, so just don't make wrong choices at this time. Remember that any bad choice you make now will take a toll on the next few years.

Oh wait, so you are the unemployed guy? Geez!

But either way, job first, other things next.

That would be a no for me.

You have no job, therefore you have no money, correct? HOW are you exactly going out on dates?

Even if you did have a savings, I'd think it would be pretty irresponsible to spend the money on extra-curricular activies when you have no money coming in.

I have a savings and I'll be applying for unemployment benefits soon, as I had a job before.

If were 19, I wouldn't date you until you found a job and were not living at home anymore. Nothing kills a romantic mood more than not having privacy to cuddle. So I'd be your friend, but just not your girlfriend.

Also how you were looking for work and what sort of job you were hunting for would also affect my opinion of you as a potential boyfriend.

When I was 19, having a boyfriend and sex were not my priorities in life. Doing well in college came first. And I waited until I was out of school and had my own apartment and a job before I started dating. Also, having sex was not important to me when I was in school.

In this economy - yes. The truth is the real unemployment rate is much higher than they are saying. No, not depression level yet, but we're getting there.

How could I judge someone when I'm in the same boat?
