Now see? TheBobs is the ONLY one to have faith in me!
*kneels, holding sword upright in front of him in two-handed grip*
I here swear fealty and do homage to the Crown of City-Data Kingdom;
to ever be a good knight and true,
reverent and generous,
shield of the weak,
obedient to my liege-lord,
foremost in battle,
courteous at all times,
champion of the right and the good.
Thus swear I,
Saint Sir Phillipus Louigious Bellafontaine
Knight-Errant,
Foole-At-Large,
Patron Saint Of Strippers

A lady I've met has something in her profile that a "knight in shining armor" usually turns out to be a doofus (but I don't think that's the word she used) "wrapped in tin foil".
She seems nice otherwise, but I don't see any prospects for a lasting relationship with her, I'm just not what she's looking for.

For some, the day of the knight has passed. It leaves one spending nights in a daze.
Ha...yea. Most men on here seem more like the Lancelot type. If there are Galahad's out there, that is great, but they seem more cut out for the priesthood than a relationship.I prefer a man that acts like a man...not a saint.
The bolded portion above, greatly interested me...thanks for your feedback Georgianbelle. Just wondering in terms of a follow-up question, what do you think it is exactly, that makes a man with saintly or heroic aims, "less" of a man, and/or unmanly? Is it the celibacy factor alone, based on the conventional archetype?
For me, I aim to be celibate, until a (hopeful future) marriage. After a marriage, is when the celibacy would end so to speak, but not before. While not a priest, I do aim to keep myself physically pure until after a marriage commitment. Lol...it's interesting that you mention the "priesthood" factor, because at one point in my life, I had actually seriously considered, becoming a priest, believe it or not...
Not only that - I hardly see a priest as saintly. Not with the rep they have these days.
Most women wouldn't KNOW what to do with a Galahad type nowadays, since so few are Guineveres - I think that's part of the problem.
I tried to rep ya........
Yes... for every lack of Galahad.... there is a lack of Guineveres.................
I concur.......
