How would you define these terms and how are they different? Because I have been called "cute" by some people, and "sexy" by others...
In the physical context, does "cute" refer more to one's face..whereas "hot" refers more to the body?
Cute: Soft, unthreatning physical appearance...usually 'youth' orientated looks..(you would rarely call a 70 year old person 'cute'..)
Also looks that lean more towards the feminane side..(regardless of gender)...
Hot: Hot is a much higher octane version of 'cute'...hot is 'sporty'...hot is much more intentional and deliberate...in other words it's hard to look 'hot' by accident...if someones 'hot'...it's usually cause they want to be...
Sexy: How someone else percieves you...or rates you...a very subjective term that has more to do with personal 'taste'...
Pretty: flowers and girls are 'pretty'...if a male is 'pretty'...it's because he really wants to be...pretty is a more extreme version of 'cute'...
Summary...
Sexy and Hot, to me, are action verbs...your not ever really 'hot' by accident...if your 'hot' it's cause you want to be percieved that way..which means the person probally works out, strict diet, athlete ect ect...
And 'sexy' is how someone else percieves you...and sexy, as with hot, has a lot to do with 'attitude'...how one carries themselves...
Example: Mike Tyson, in his hey day...was 'sexy' and 'hot' (to some)...but he definatly wasn't 'cute' or 'pretty'....
So you can be 'Sexy' or 'Hot' without being 'cute'...when applied to males...
But when applied to females...you can't really be 'sexy' or 'hot' unless your first 'cute' or 'pretty'....
Males usually go from 'cute' to 'handsome' as they age...
Females usually go from 'pretty' to 'beautiful'...as they age...
Assuming one keeps themselves up...
There's really no right or wrong answer here...it's all very subjective...and culturally influenced...
As a man I'd never want to be called "cute" after let's say 13 years old by females. Small children and some animals are cute, but you don't want to sleep with them
cute- strictly pleasant facial features, usually otherwise overweight or unshapely/frumpy body attributes. My exwife was cute. Pleasant facial lines, fat and icebox square body.
I've heard my own daughter refer to little old ladies as cute so I doubt it ever stops.
We can just shrink away with our "ice box bodies" and retire our g strings for good I guess.
Heck with that! I don't have an ice box body!
I think for me it's more a personality thing...because I'm always so chipper and bubbly.
However, I've been a bitter ol' depressing bitty lately. I wonder how that will change impressions

Exactly. When a woman calls me cute, I don't take it as a compliment.
Why? Because with women,
Babies are cute. Animals are cute. Outfits, cars, even some women call elderly couples cute.
Someone tell me why I would want to be put in the same category as a baby or elderly person?
Babies, pets, outfits, etc, don't get called handsome, sexy, hot, etc.
Honestly, I'd rather you call me ugly or not open your mouth before you call me cute.
Cute is also used by women when she's describing you to a friend that thinks you're hot, you know?
Sally: 'Omg, Susie, look! This is Jason, he's so hot, isn't he?'
Susie: 'oh yeah, he's cute.' (she obviously isn't attracted to you but doesn't want to her Sally's feelings)
I've called men "cute" before, it's more about the personality they exude than their looks though.
