Every woman, at some point, finds herself in a situation where her man can't get it up. What should a woman do or say in the moment? As women, we always hear what we should never do (like criticize him) but no one advises us on what we should do or say to make him feel better about the event. Advice gents?

What does the guy say when this happens? You need to communicate..
Is the experience with this guy a one off or is it a partner of many years?

If the guy has Erectile dysfunction its not really his fault and there isnt much you can do about it,some of the Viagra type drugs might work but if they dont you may have to get used to this male affliction. Dont take it personally.
If he doesnt have ED then other problems are the cause

I wouldn't know what to say since this problem has not occurred with me, but if that were to happen I would be embarassed beyond belief.. and very bummed-out.

Never happened to me yet but unless it is a regular occurence ( denoting a problem pyschological or physical) I don't think it would worry me that much to be honest. Our bodies are complex systems and sometimes things simply might not work quite as we would like them to. No biggie.

I suspect if this happened to Hubby we would just talk about it if HE made an issue of it and simply ignore it for the moment. Once in a very blue moon is not a problem. I see no reason to make him feel diminished as a man or embarassed when it really is not that serious. We can still play and there are a lot of things you can do which do not require him to be standing to attention which are pleasurable.

If it happened on a regular basis then we would talk about it, go to our GP and try to find the cause of it and a solution to the problem like mature adults. Men put themselves under too much pressure IMO when it comes to "performing" , I think the last thing you need to do is make them feel even more self conscious.

I love sex but I love him more.

Don't say anything to the guy, just be patient and work through it and hope for the best. I had an ex b/f a LONG time ago that had those issues on occasion, I just acted like it was no big deal.
