I have been told I am a walking statistical average of the american girl... whatever that means. I think he was saying I'm plain or common looking... but by the same token it was a guy from the math club so I didn't take it to heart.

I think what he said is a compliment. It looks like you aren't going out of your way to be good looking like a lot of girls now a days. You are just you and that's what makes you good looking. I am not a fan of women who try to be miss Hollywood or whatever.
