Marc Rudov has some serious balls for being very outspoken. And the women in this interview just reinforced his opinions within the first minute and a half of the video with typical shaming language.
"Men spending twice as much for a woman. -- As it should be."
"What woman broke your heart that you've gone to this dark place?"
Tanya lost all credibility when she mentioned she is a feminist to boot. They didn't even bother actually listening to what he is trying to say, even going so far as interrupting him as he's trying to defend himself, you can see they were just waiting to insult the guy for going against the culture.
I've really never understood all this hand-wringing about Valentine's Day. If you're in a relationship, what's so terrible about going out to dinner or buying a little gift? I suppose it's annoying if your SO expects you to get some extravagant gift every year, but then the problem is with your SO, not the holiday.
And if you're single - it's simply got nothing to do with you. It's not a particularly difficult holiday to ignore. About the only times I'm reminded of it are if I'm in a CVS or something, or if I walk past a restaurant. The only holiday on which being single ever bothers me is New Year's Eve, because singles are expected to participate, but couples always seem to be having more fun. But Valentine's Day? It's got nothing to do with me. Big whoop.
