maybe i'm taking it too seriously, it just frustrates me when intelligent, modern women (i assume you are) don't go after what they want, because either they are too proud or afraid of rejection

Perhaps you ought to have a house warming get together BBQ. Invite him & some of your other friends from the office to come. Or invite some other friends also.

Nope. There are a lot of biological reasons behind that. I know this from experience

Jokes aside, and given this forum is just for entertainment, mating rituals are a way for a reason. Modern life did not change the way women and men are biologically wired.
