Kiss was one of those bands I never did like even back when they were in. Half forgot they even existed till you mentioned them Chow.

Right on both counts, brother. When one of the perps refused to leave, electing instead to stubbornly sit on a stool, and all other methods were exhausted, I simply whispered in his ear "In three seconds, either you or the stool will be on the floor".

He saw the light, right through his oh-so-dark sunglasses.

LOL - I try to respond to different situations in a fluid, flowing, Taoist way - sometimes you're Yin; sometimes Yang.

In truth, I started off Yin, as I often do in this particular style of confrontation; it's only when it is taken to excess that the pendulum swings back through to Yang.

Tonight was one of those nights. Just part of the job...

I probably would have enlisted the assistance of a couple men to literally pick up the stool with him still in it and carry it out the door and dump him off of it in the parking lot or maybe the street because of liability make sure you dump him onto public property.

Well, not to give away trade secrets, but you want to be careful performing what could be construed as "excessive force". A bouncer has no greater or lesser powers than Joe Citizen - they're only concerned with keeping a safe and sane business environment. Therefore, you can be held just as responsible for any actions taken as your "bad guy".

Doing what I did was "sneaky pool", a psy-op designed to deliver a pre-emptive strike against the enemy. My previous attempts at diplomacy and patience were viewed as weakness, so I changed game plan. Their resulting loss of mental balance is the lever I use to manipulate them.

And the greatest part - no witnesses, or at least very few reliable ones; hey, it's dark, Phil is wearing all black and keeps disappearing, can't be sure we saw him do that 3-inch palm-heel strike on that guy...

It's as much a mental game as a physical one. That's why I love it - it's like Battle Chess writ large.
