Where's Thursday?

I can't start my day without knowing what weird calendar holiday it is.

It's not an exciting one.

Today is April 14th (day before your taxes are due folks) and is National Pecan Day. Pecan means nut requiring a stone to crack - this could apply to many people as well.

I never, ever liked Pecan Pie until I ate a piece of Chocolate Pecan Pie at a TGI Friday's. Just excellent.

I lOVE pecan pie, but I'm allergic to the huge amounts of corn syrup in it.

I just looked up the recipe and it calls for half a cup of corn syrup. I am very excited about this. It is so very little corn syrup I can replace it with actual maple syrup without going broke. Thanks Thursday!
