Are there any couples who eloped? (married, family, children, friends)

If I were to ever get married, I would elope since I'm not a big family person. Family has a lot of strain on couples and will soon-to-be in-laws can be very judgmental on their child's significant other. Families can either judge couples for marrying young, not having kids, marrying interracially, moving far away, etc.

If anyone of you eloped, how did you parents feel? Is there anybody who didn't invite their friends or family at their ceremony?

I've never had family at a wedding of mine... That's just the way my life turned out. A picture of them was in attendance of my last wedding and maybe Mom’s spirit as I’d taken her to that place when she visited me for the last time.

I'm a HUGE family person, but I also have a HUGE family , so everyone would get offended somehow if I eloped.

Too bad. I'm eloping. My mom once told me she'd pay me if I eloped. I think it was because I'm the youngest of seven, and she'd already had her fair share of children's weddings.
