Why is that even necessary?

Your family isn’t going to be any less happy if you’re not married. I know an unmarried couple who have been together for over 25 years and they have 3 great kids.

With all due respect, I believe you're incorrect. The "idea" might have come sooner but the institution of marriage was conjured up by St Paul to eliminate what he perceived as illicit sexual activities.

Do you think happy life-long marraiges will become a rarer thing in the future? Today there are many divorces, unlike decades before.

Why do or don't you believe in marraige?

by the way I am in love with someone if you're wondering
Everyone doesn't act on their impulses, that's why man has the power of reasoning that other animals that behave according to instinct and impulse don't have.

You're not required to gauge out your eyeballs just because you've gotten married. You can look but don't touch. Just because you're attracted to someone doesn't mean you have to act out on your impulses. Out of respect for your wife/husband if for no other reason.

If everyone behaved according to what they thought the world would be a very dangerous place.

I don't think marriages are going out of style.

People choose to be married or not married.

It's really not that difficult to understand.

And will all due respect, I think you're wrong.

"the institution of marriage pre-dates reliable recorded history, many cultures have legends concerning the origins of marriage. The way in which a marriage is conducted and its rules and ramifications has changed over time, as has the institution itself, depending on the culture or demographic of the time."

For me, it's not a matter of believing or not believing in marriage, but realizing that, all things told, there is no real point to it. It's a compelling theoretical model, but in practice it often flies in the face of reason and human nature. In the end, though, it is a personal decision that both parties are solely responsible for validating through their professed commitment to each other.

I don't believe in marriage.

I believe in contracts between consenting adults.

It's necessary in case the marriage does not work out. Protects the father and the kids.
