Guess I'm a late bloomer. Don't recall any such thoughts till 1st or 2nd grade. Then my "BF" was bringing me flowers. Could be because Grandma was raising me for the most part till KG and I wasn't around that many kids.

Oh my. Mine was inappropriate on so many levels. It's the early '90's the AIDS epidemic is at it's height. I, a straight woman, volunteer for the local AIDS crisis organization. The work involves being someone a person with AIDS can talk to and help them navigate any issues they might have dealing with their disease. I'm assigned to a man who is 10 years younger than me and gay. Completely gay. So what do I do? Proceed to develop a crush on him. Didn't act on it of course, but WTF? Wrong age, wrong sexual orientation, volunteer-client relationship that can't be violated and he has AIDS!!!
Fortunately it passed and we became good friends until his death.
