Pain is part of life in all areas of our lives. Failure is another is another type of pain. I hurt before but then you get up and learn. I do not allow it to ruin my whole life. It is part of growing up and in a way it makes you appreciate the good times in life, take care.

Yes, rejection does hurt. I heard about this scientific study on the news. Well I was not surprised and I doubt if anyone else was who has loved and lost was either.

To me rejection only hurts if it comes from a woman who I feel is in the same league as me when it comes to looks. If I get rejected by a woman who I feel is above my league in the looks department, I don't feel sad because I expected it anyways.
It's a self esteem thing. If I get rejected by a woman who I feel is in the same league as me, what chances do I have of dating a woman who is above my league in the looks department. Getting turn down by an average looking woman hurts my self esteem. Not so much if I get turned down by a woman that looks like Jennifer Connelly or Rashida Jones.

The problem here though is that people often don't know what their league is, you might be well aware of what league you belong to or which woman belongs to your league, but I have seen that a lot of people are too optimistic about these things and give it a shot even if they say feel the woman they are approaching belongs to a league beyond their own.
