Various places. I met my current gf through a mutual friend. My exwife I met at a work conference. A sampling of others... met camping, met in school, others through work, friends, social groups.

On a forum like this. But not this one.

We officially met in person in an airport baggage claim area after we'd formed an online friendship over the course of about a year of posting on a messageboard that I moderated.

Oh, I got a list....
Met ex-husband at the local mall.
Met 1st ex-fiancé at a car dealership.
Met 2nd ex-fiancé at Chucky Cheese.
Met next 3 long term boyfriends at work. The funny thing about those last 3...they all had the same first name.

Met both my ex and my current (28 years married) in the same church.

The first one was 'everyone's darling' - and a lazy good-for-nothing who wanted me to work AND breed children for him while he went to church and promenaded his virtue and leadership. He later was caught red-handed stealing from church members' homes and the collection...

The second was the church's 'bad boy' dragged there by his mom, who went into the USAF and became a firefighter/paramedic, and who believed in supporting his family. A great dad and good husband, who adopted my sons from the first marriage because the first one wouldn't pay child support.
