Marriage without sex isnt really a marriage at all. Its a horrible existence. Denying your spouse sex is almost as bad as denying your children food and water.
Actually, that's not entirely true. It is not guaranteed, and when it does happen, it doesn't eliminate libido entirely. If you had a good sex life and a good relationship before losing the hormones, you'll still have a good sex life and a good relationship after losing them. It has more to do with the health of your relationship than the health of your gonads. Trust me on this, because I live it. There are plenty of randy post-menopausal women who don't take hormone replacement therapy.
Hydraulics in men are another issue. They may want sex, but if there is any ED from vascular disease, smoking, diabetes, etc., it can be a case of the mind commanding but the body not obeying. That's more mechanical than hormonal, though.

When atrophy occurs from the lack of hormones required to support a uterus, any sexual activity becomes extremely painful.

Sex isn't required to have a marriage or a relationship.
Assuming that the union of matrimony is between two healthy, functional adults, then marriage without sex is like reading a book without words.
