While a lot of women would have kicked a husband like this to the curb upon first finding out about the affair and child, I just think confessing from the beginning is his only shot at being forgiven and having his wife work with him to save the marriage.
But being honest from the beginning would screw up his plan to run for public office. So he put himself in the position to be black mailed, but he was willing to take that chance. I'm surprised he was able to keep it from his family for this long.

I get what you're saying, people will pick and choose who they'll judge harshly. Clint Eastwood was born 1930, so hes presently 81. A different generation when a mans indiscretions might have been ignored.

I think it was the attitude and way they were cheating when it came to Jesse James and Tiger Wood.
I believe Clint Eastwood only has 1 illegitimate daughter. 2 kids are from his 1st marriage and then he has 1 from his latest marriage.

Don't claim to be a Catholic scholar but I think she has grounds!!Ironic I was in Rancho Sante Fe this past April and someone pointed out this huge modern mansion that sat at the highest point on a cliff and said that's where Arnold and Maria live.
