I'm wondering what a rent-a-wife would be like, LOL.

Him: Ugh, what a day at the office. I am worn out. Our client presentation is on Friday and I don't know if we'll be ready ... the Phoenix office is still not up to speed. And Kevin's new assistant sits right outside my office and smacks gum all day. It's horrible--I'm sorry, am I boring you?

Her: No, by all means, go ahead. I've made $20 since you started talking.

I'm wondering this because it seems more okay for women to admit that they're attracted to an attractive person rather than a rich person. A lot of my friends easily say that another guy's "hot" but rarely compliments him on his wealth.

Now, is wealth becoming less important than physical attraction or are women ashamed of liking a man for his wealth?

Personally, I think it's more superficial for woman to like a guy's looks. Most guys have to earn their money themselves while genetics play a bigger role for looks.

I might be a bit biased since I'm richer than I am good looking. But, I'm not rich on an absolute sense since I'm not very attractive.
I think the first attraction would be for the looks, how would she know if he was wealthy or not?And though looks might draw her near....it's personality that will draw her closer..I think wealth is a definate bonus, but usually just an added bonus to the man himself.

They are both superficial, but you can make an argument for 'looks' being less so because you are going to have to have sex with the person and you can't do that if you're not attracted to them physically.

I won't address the mindset of the woman but I will observe that while both wealth and appearance are transitory, only wealth is based upon an illusion; appearance is reality.

Who cares what bait you use as long as you are catching plenty of fish?

All too often people can decide what you are without ever knowing you, the good and the bad, the person. For this reason I tend to hide my income, I prefer to be judged on merit, not labeled on sight.

Once again, another thread from another guy with a broken self image wondering why women won't date him.

Maybe the thread should say:

Are Women More Superficial To Looks Or Money?

The question is ridiculous because of one salient point: VERY few people are wealthy. So they tend to stand out.

Many people are good-looking or reasonably attractive, so it's hardly shallow to be attracted to those types. Women who specifically go after wealthy men, target a very, very select group of men and will take them for a ride, regardless of their looks. Almost everyone is attracted to good looks! Most women are NOT attracted to wealthy men solely for their money. Vast difference.

Which is more superficial-a woman attracted to a man because he is rich OR a man attracted to a woman because she is hot/beautiful?
