I could be here all day with tales of just the sweetest and most thoughtful things people have done for me over the years. Just out of the goodness of their heart.
All I can do is my best to pay this forward. I try to do this as much as possible. Because what others did for me meant so much and touched me so much.
I have been very lucky to have been the recipient and giver of many thoughtful gestures over the years.
The stand out for me is when my Dad crashed the car when I was about 11. I had a head wound and was bleeding profusely but my step sister had a crushed hand (she ended up losing two fingers) and a severe leg injury so everyone was concentrating on her.
A man from the local pub who had heard the crash sat and held me tight despite the fact that I must have been bleeding all over him. He held me until the ambulance arrived. I remember it to this day.
Eh, not to put myself on a high horse but I think I do too many nice things for people, small or big. I'm too nice for my own good, sometimes I just feel like saying chuck being nice but I just can't seem to be a grade A butt face to people I know deserve my niceness. It just sucks when I don't get anything in return, people will be surprised by how small of things to make me happy though.

I had a happy moment the other day while walking my dog. We met a little girl absolutely adorable 2 yr old or thereabouts--I couldn't help myself from telling her mother what a cutie. I didn't do that to be nice to the mother--the child was enchanting.
I feel much better when I am 'nice'.
With all the 's' that pours forth from the news I am making a special effort to ignore it and enjoy something in my life. It certainly sounds like the world is coming to an end---if it is that I want to spend the time that is left appreciating what is good.
That child --those curls and those eyes. 'Puppy'. A fine moment.
I was on the Subway, and a lady got up at a stop. I was just chilling, and I noticed she left her sunglasses on the chair. I grabbed them, ran out of the train, bolted down the platform and gave them back to her.
Jumped into another car right before the train left.
One of the nicest things ever done from me was my boyfriend taking off work for a week when I had surgery....the surgery was supposed to have been outpatient but I ended up in the hospital for a week. My mom flew in from out of town and he took care of her like his own mother....made sure she had food, transportation since I couldn't do a thing from the hospital bed. Plus he was there EVERYDAY...he was there SNORING but to me it was special because he took the time to take care of me and my mom when I couldn't do anything. I was married before and had an accident and my exhusband refused to see after me....this is why I know my boyfriend is a great man.
