These days, almost everything can be done via internet, and this is certainly one of the areas where the internet excels! If you want to find someone ahead of time - or even dozens of someones - and learn something about them before meeting, there are plenty of adult dating sites, swinger sites with lots of single guys, etc., and I suppose Craig's list (but I wouldn't go there!). Or, just go to any upscale bar where there's music and dancing, and you'll find someone in no time. At least with internet hookups, you can leave the names/usernames of people you plan to meet with someone you trust, which provides a little margin of safety.
