There's a difference between people who like [fill in the blank with your recreation of choice - online gaming, fantasy baseball, counted cross stitch, bowling and drinking white Russians, online forums, etc.) as an occasional recreational activity, and those whose lives revolve around said activity.
Most people who self-identify as "gamers" fall into the "my life revolves around this" camp. Otherwise, they'd just be, you know, dudes (and chicks) who like to play online games when they don't have anything else going on.
yes, its def. a turn-off for a female....I mean 2 hours or so on a day off is ok....but to obsess about it??
I have my own interests, and his complaint about the harpy ex was she was controlling....lol...but as always there are two sides after seeing the behavior after 9 months.

Hmmm, makes you wonder what she was so "controlling" about, doesn't it?
I'm 53 and I like guy gamers even thought I'm not totally into it myself. Not the addictive kind where they can't do anything but...but someone who plays regularly is no different than any other hobby IMO and there is quite a social component to it.
Hey hey I love video games. Been playing them since I was a kid. I'm in my late 20's and It's never been the cause of relationships problems. Although most of the women I dated liked video games also (and were hot) so I guess that's the reason. Most of the games I by have to have a coop mode so me and my gf can play together. It's considered spending time together so it's fine. We ofcourse also go outside to see the sun
