I know, we're in serious danger of starting a "that's what she said" tangent.
By the way, how's your son settling in? I saw Hurricane's room a while back. I told Chow, he's got a nice color scheme going on.
Sea, he's absolutely in hog heaven. He LOVES it. Very very happy. His dad is there this weekend, took his other kids and his mom to run from the storm. It's a hike...5 hours...not like I'll be going up there very often. But I'll see him next weekend...we're going camping Labor Day, and it's only about an hour and 20 minutes from the campus. I bought him a bike, and we're taking it to him.
Uh oh - tornadoes spotted in VA and SNJ (near Atlantic City). Fairfield is just a little north of me and somewhat inland. IIRC, you said they live in SNJ (south of exit 98) - they will NOT get home tonight - I hope they had plans to stay overnight somewhere. Amtrak and all public transit in NJ suspended. We still haven't gotten the main bands here yet. We are due east of Elizabeth NJ.

Tonight, they will be driving into heavy rain and thunderstorms. The idea of flash flooding is scaring me.
I was out earlier around 4 and went right under the VN Bridge. In 15 years, I have NEVER seen the bridge with only 3 vehicles on the upper level - not even right after 9/11. That was it - 3 trucks, 1 tractor/trailer, one large delivery type truck, and a large van. No one on the lower level, no one going the other direction - just 3 heading west. It was really eerie. The "goats of grass destruction" were moved into the fort for safety earlier today.
