Chow's dad lives in Havasu, AZ, so I'm aware of the heat:

For the most part, I like it. We were house-hunting in Arizona a while back, too. We tried to go when it was hotter, to see how it compared. We also go to Palm Springs a lot. We're beach rats who also turned out to be desert rats.
Come December I'll start throwing tantrums................more frequently.

What does a man mean by saying, "You look great!" ... I get this mostly from men who haven't seen me in a few months, and then we catch up and he says, "You look great!". I need specifics such as, "Your hair is gorgeous", or maybe even "Wow... I had forgotten what a great figure you have." "You look great!", seriously guys... come on.What does that mean?

IMHO it's simply a polite, complimentary greeting not to be over thought, but you may want to post it as a regular thread.

Idle talk... exchange of pleasantries... Were you born yesterday by any chance?

Gracious, Sierra. That's kinda hard. I was just asking a question. The point of the question was asking why men are so ambiguous with their comments, instead of speaking specifically.

There is currently a thread in here on page one regarding women being ambiguous when they talk. You'd do better posting it that or starting a thread of your own.
