I'm all for basic politeness and manners, but trust me, once it gets to the point where you're living with somebody, a LOT of modesty regarding basic bodily functions gets really relaxed, for most people. Particularly if you share a bathroom. Some people never do relax in that regard, though. My SO's brother and his wife are fairly conservative, and she's mentioned before how absolutely horrified she was at herself when she accidently farted in his presence after about two years of marriage and four years of living together.

Of course, she's also the sort who gets up extra early to get ready so that there's no danger of her husband ever seeing her without makeup.

Hahaha, thanks for outing me, babe. But it's true, I do have an amazing burp.

Anyways, I agree. It's ridiculous to expect someone you plan on having a relationship with to never have any bodily functions - we all have them. So unless if she's purposefully being impolite/rude, then I'd suggest you not worry about it. Especially if you ever plan on living with them; it's going to happen at some point regardless.

I don't think you are going to find many women that fart and think it is sexy. But, give us a break, most people that do that don't do it to offend people, they do it because they feel like they are about ready to explode. So, if a lady you are dating makes a little slip, I suppose you are going to chastise her for it? I can't believe that anyone would bother to write a post about such a trivial thing.

Okay, see, that's where my SO and I draw the line.

Before and during, at least.

Me too. What's funny isn't the fart but, rather, the reaction to the fart. After all these years, we can't seem to handle simple bodily functions without either getting embarassed or busting a gut .

What I want to know is what other teachers do when they have to fart since teachers can't just leave the room. I'm a chemistry teacher. I can always, pretend, I need something from the store room, lol, but what do teachers do who only have one room?

I dont know, I realize that women are only human, but when a women wants to look sexy and turn a man on, farting just dosnt seem proper and it dosnt fit into the equation, my equation anyway.

What is your take on this
I'd rather have a woman fart in front of me than throw up on me or get diarrhea. Never take a lactose-intolerant woman out for ice cream or frozen yogurt.
