I don't think this whole business is over just because he's admitted to it. Even if Congress doesn't take any action against him I suspect that the voters on the next election probably will.

Dr. Drew, for whom I have a degree of respect, unlike his colleagues on HLN--thought Wiener's response to his 'poor choices' indicated he could suffer a major depression.

His wife undoubtedly loves him, IIRC, they have been married about a year.

They will certainly have a 'lot of work to do' and choices to make.

sigh--

I am thankful to be a 'simple minded' person. A Redneck--lol--technology is a tool --useful for work but not that great for recreation and foolishness.

Representative Wiener should consider a hobby like fishing. That is my advice.

Yeah, but that would probably just get him thinking about his "trouser trout" and he'd get right back into it again. I do think that with all of today's technology with the internet and the various gadgets that people have that a great many people develop an actual addiction for certain online activities such as pornography, chat rooms, and things that you can explore anonymously (well, usually anonymous) that they wouldn't do in the real world outside of the internet. In the press conference yesterday Weiner said that he had told his wife about some of these things that he had done before their marriage but the urge was obviously still there so he kept doing it after they were married. He must have known the risk he was taking so the desire to do it must have been very strong.

He needs other interests, that much is clear.

Perhaps he should do something 'manly'--climb a mountain and live in the wilderness?

It is time for all of us to confront our demons and take charge of our lives--anyway we can.

lol--The teacher in me would like to take away all the cell phones and technical communication devices. And also rap some knuckles with a ruler.

His political career is probably over. There was talk of him running for NY mayor someday, but I doubt that's going to happen now. In terms of rehabbing his image, he should look to Eliot Spitzer. The former NY governor is doing pretty well for himself on CNN.

My thoughts exactly.

They can't keep their sticky hands off other people's money and they can''t seem to keep their trouser snake in their trousers.

If I were his wife, I'd leave him.

There are no children involved so there is no reason for her to stay with him.

Default Leave.

Married what, 11 months? And that conversation that they printed in the paper. He has Huma, An exotic, smart and beautiful woman and it's not enough. He's only crying cause he got busted. The man want's a big cake and be able to eat it to.

The day I meet a woman like the one he has (Or had) I will settle down and paste a "Taken" sign on my head.
