And those would be the ones who you contact via Craigslist and who come to your place after dark and, for a price, spend an hour walking on your back. You've referenced them several times over the years.

Heck, my husband and I went to the movies dutch on our first date and we are celebrating our 20th soon. If you are looking at women that are ONLY looking for what you can provide them, you might be disappointed.

Grasshopper has been and remains disappointed for very obvious reasons and, trust me, there really is no point trying to demonstrate to him that there is a successful relationship life outside, "The World According to TVSG" which is so replete with do's and dont's it's enough to make your head spin around like Linda Blair's in "The Exorcist"!

And here we have more examples of TVSG's misogynistic viewpoint. It's never ending.
This is a man who'll be posting here when he's at the end of his life, huddled in front of his computer with the TV to the side programmed to sports, wearing stained boxers and a dingy bathrobe with both (along with his overhanging belly) spattered with stale milk from the Froot Loops dinner and BBQ sauce from the take-out wings.
Still convinced that the woman of his dreams is sitting at the end of a computer screen free dating site he'll get his jollies, so all will be well.
PS: Taigagirl, you read me well!!!

I would only be willing to put out $160 if it's my birthday. And she would have to be HOT.

$100 or more for first few dates? There better be a pot o' gold at the end of that rainbow! Unless she's paying, then it's cool.

And your point? Seriously, Grasshopper, you're not fugly but you're not an Adonis either. Your general being is the turnoff. Sigh.

Nope, not that night. He wouldn't have expected me to either. He didn't shell out that money to have sex. We both like nice restaurants, we both love baseball, we both hate the Yankees and we both respect Fenway for the magical place that it is.
We enjoyed a nice dinner and a great baseball game. Fenway is not like other ball parks, there is no such thing as cheap seats. You go to a game there and you are shelling out a lot of money and you know it ahead of time.

$100 bucks is easy to drop on a date, but don't do that if you can't comfortably afford that.
There are lots of things you can do for dates that don't require that type of money, think outdoor and daytime for starters. Hiking, beach, lake, walking tours of the city, any sport the two of you may share in common, we have movies on the beach here: romantic, lower cost, fun; do a sport you've always wanted to try like archery (or whatever), should at least be good for laughs. Living Social, and Groupon have tons of two for one activities.... go to the zoo, the aquarium.... I love when someone can show me some great hole-in-the-wall restaurant that has fabulous food...
I think dates like these are good because they are more relaxed, and you get to see the "real" person sooner in a lot of ways..

Apparently, that was not the case.
