I've noticed this here in the boards and I find it interesting. This is NOT aimed at anyone specifically, but I find that some people, when in disagreement with others, will make fun of them and call them losers for being single. I'm not speaking for myself, in speaking for other people when I read around the boards. Can anyone tell me why some people resort to attacking a person by mentioning their relationship status??
Ok here's an example. One person makes a point. Another disagrees. The first person tries to respond to that point and then the second person attacks if they know the first person is single. As if them being in a relationship makes them better than the other person. You know, those kinds of condescending comments. I realize that NOT ALL people in relationships do this, but SOME do. Just like the CF thing.

Because when people don't agree and can't think of anything worthwhile to say, they make up points that are useless. Kind of like playing the race card

Ahhhhh I see. Yeah that can get annoying too. Especially when ones relationship status or whatever has nothing to do with what they're discussing.
are you sure its because the person is single? That i dont recall seeing...what I DO recall seeing is is posters telling someone who doesnt have any experience in relationships, that their point is not as valid because they do not have any experience in such matters...is this what you mean?
I've never seen it but I can understand bringing it up if a single person was trying to school someone about marriage. It's like when childless people want to give parenting advice.

Yes I've seen people get attacked for being single. Again, I'm not speaking for myself. This is just what I observe in what I read here in CD and not just in the relationship forum either.

really I would love an example of that, because I honestly don't recall seeing it..

I think it was somewhere in the fashion forum.
