And as I asked, were more people laid off, or was it a way to get rid of you? After all, you used to brag about coming in hours after everyone else.

The only person who seems to think you're funny (as in "funny ha-ha" and not, "funny peculiar") would seem to be you.

It goes without saying that this should be prefaced by, "Quite misguided ..."

Anyway, Grasshopper, getting back to your original post which was the new problem you developed of "dating anxiety attacks" did you follow any of the advice which you were given in response to your query?

I would imagine that now you are again employed (and once you can get used to all the current dilemmas involved in finding the right train to take to you to your new assignment) you'll be back on the never-ending dating hunt with renewed vigor so a resolution to the anxiety problem will be rather important. Now that the winter months are rapidly approaching in your neck of the woods it'll become more difficult to blame anxiety-induced profuse perspiration on summer heat while the accompanying shaking could indicate to a new date that you have drug withdrawal problems. Best to get this nipped in the bud right away.

TV..seriously. Stop dating. STOP FREAKING DATING. The world isnt going to come to an end. Get your life back together. Get yourself another job. Get settled again. Because, right now, i dont think you need to be worrying about dating. You need to get your own life together again before you try to blend it with someone else's.

Plus, i feel the fact you are out of work makes you hypersensitive. It shows here..espescially by calling someone 'materialistic' simply because a poster said she would like someone to be working.

You just need to step back and leave women alone for a while. My opinion, of course. But get a job, a car..or get your car working..or whatever you gotta do..get yourself straight. THEN worry about dating.
In the meantime, hang out with friends or something, or get a hobby, or volunteer at the animal shelter or something.

Oh dear me. I fortunately don't have to "fight off" dementia or Alzheimer's which is probably attributable to good genes ...

The above is NOT what i'm talking about. You obviously cannot help if employers are not calling you. You just have to hang in there.

What im talking about is the fact that you called someone materialistic because that person would prefer dating prospects to have jobs. TV..EVERYONE will probably want their dating prosects to have a job. That is just a standard, basic thing. That does not make them 'materialistic'. You need money to buy food, clothes, pay bills, house upkeep, car repairs, things for kids if you have them, small emergencies that may come up, etc.

Now, you got laid off, but most folks can understand that. Like I said, I was laid off too once. But, your unfortunate position right now still doesnt change the fact that people would prefer that a dating prospect be gainfully employed. Thats just life, TVsports. It's not materialistic. It's survival. If you are sensitive to that, then maybe you should just chill with the dating scene for a while. That's why i said that.

Get yourself together first.
