I do. It's really a matter of habit. But I'm all over anything that makes housekeeping easier. My current favorite item: Mr Clean Magic Eraser. Love!

* I keep a box of those Clorox wipes in the bathroom so it's a quick swipe every morning. Keeping a squeegee in the shower makes it easy to keep the shower clean. In my climate, mold will grow very quickly so I also keep a spray bottle of bleach and water and squirt the shower with bleach after each use. I find that taking a few moments every day to keep things under control is a lot easier than waiting until it becomes a big project.

* If you cook like I do, cleaning the kitchen is just part of the routine. It would be disgusting to let it go for a whole week. Maybe I'm a sloppy cook.

* Dusting, vacuuming, sweeping really needs to be done daily where I live. Your mileage may vary. Because we live at the beach the tradewinds blow a new coat of sand all over the lanai every day. We eat all of our meals on the lanai and spend a lot of time out there. We also have a cozy upholstered sofa on the lanai that I enjoy for reading... but it's very high maintenance to keep clean. I'm thinking about tradinge it in for something less comfy but easier to maintain. I'm getting sick of sand!

* Yardwork: Again, it's part of the cost of living in paradise. Things grow like crazy here, year round. I really like puttering around our yard in the evening when it's cool. It's my favorite thing to do and I'm proud of how our yard looks. Everything is so pretty!
You know, if you're organized and hop on it, I've found that the daily housework takes two hours, tops. Of course, that's with the kids cleaning the kitchen.

Well I think that was boos point, no?

That's how I do it around here...2-3 hours tops a day...and that typically includes meals and laundry.

I've not had to scrub a floor in a long time...it just doesn't get that dirty. Showers, toilets, counters, fixtures...etc. same thing...there is no need to be scrubbing them if they are cleaned on a regular basis.

That's right. You shower and brush the walls and/or corners if you see mold building up and so on. It doesn't take more than a minute or two while you shower. After I eat, I clean the pots/pans and dishes that were used right after I finish eating so they don't pile up. Same thing goes with other house chores. Little by little everyday but not laundry every single day, grocery shopping every single day, organize the fridge every single day, make appointments every single day, etc. seems a bit exaggerated to say that but then again, there are some households with more than 10 people .

I clean our bathrooms, I don't mind it one bit. I actually get this sick sense of satisfaction when the chrome fixtures sparkle (I know, I probably need professional help for that).

I HATE washing the floors...that I admit to. There's too much square footage and too much furniture to move. But I do it because I cannot stand a dirty floor either.
HAHAHAHA! I am a sicko like that too.

I like to clean everyday too because then its not nasty to do or nasty to live in. It only takes about 15 mins each room of my daily insano cleanings. (2baths/kitchen) But I clean like I want to get it done. I don't fiddle around.

I used to do less frequent cleaning when I was really young and I just am not like that anymore. It also helps with allergies in the house to keep it clean as possible.

I also sickly like it when people come over and talk about how clean it is and how it smells good. HAHAHA!

I live in a household of five, and yes, I do laundry every single day. Dishwasher runs two or three times a day. I talk to the kids' schools or doctors several times a week, although not so much in the summertime of course. We have hardwood floors that I should sweep every day, but I don't. I completely sympathize with someone whose house gets all sandy or dirty from the wind; my uncle lives in the desert and his place is the same way. Dust everywhere, every day. The only thing in boodha's list that seemed too much was cleaning her fridge every day.

I agree. I dont have young kids except on the weekend, but laundry, cooking, clean the kitchen, sweeping, etc. is done almost always daily. I could clean my frige everyday but I dont. The dust from and old house, all the dirt dragged in from the farm and work, and animals that slip in causes quite a cleaning battle. I woke up this morning to a chewed stick of butter on the downstairs floor and turned over trash can because someone forgot to put the dog out. The stick of butter is still there. Smartha dosent live at my house.

LOL. Yeah, I know. I organize the fridge every time I open it, it seems. I like looking at what I call "fridge porn". You know, those ads where the inside of the fridge is filled with fresh fruits and veggies and the bottles of sparking spring water are all lined up perfectly?

That's what I like to see when I open my fridge too. It makes me happy.

Oh I HAVE to do laundry every day, especially in the summer.

The boys are at sports practice most nights, 2 hours at a time. They don't cancel because it's hot out (don't I wish)...they come home soaked with sweat. I also work out every day and have sweaty clothes and so does my husband. I can't leave that stuff laying around...it starts to smell like dead bodies!

Then I do one other persons laundry and sheets for that day. It works out to be about 2 loads a day, sometimes 3 when I wash their comforters/blankets as well.

If I get backed up and don't do laundry for a week...well it's happened and it was a flippin' project just to get it done and still keep up with the fresh dirty clothes.

LOL, whatever makes you happy right?

I don't do that every day but once a week before I go grocery shopping I'll go through and see if there are things in there that I can use up before it spoils.
