Yes. Because I know very few single people. So I imagine anyone attractive that is my age (late 20s to mid 30s) is not single. Bc even the ugly ones are hooked up.

Almost every single person I know is fairly attractive with a couple of glaring exceptions.

Well, I'd say enormous is overstating it - as that is largely a myth.

The area where I live and most of the Bay Area has the same ratio as anywhere else. The aberration is in the city of San Francisco and, to a smaller degree, Silicon Valley.

From my experience, having lived both here and in the Midwest for many years, the problem here is simply that there are lots fewer really attraction women per thousand population. They are much fewer and farther between, so naturally they are in greater demand.

When I meet a really classy and attraction woman here, one who really stands out from the crowd, 9 times out of 10 she is a transplant from another state. I took soooo.... much for granted when I lived in Johnson County, Kansas.

Might not be the case, but I usually assume that extremely attractive people probably have had a relatively easy life, e.g. that most folks behave "agreeably" to them. Or as the ancient Greeks thought, that "beauty" was a sign the gods "smiled" on you.

Unfortunately, everyone I've ever known who was at all genuinely interesting usually had "Eff-ed up" lives (and not self-inflicted), and have really had to "work" to acquire all that depth and become the "interesting" people that they are now. So no offense intended to the "beautiful people", but IMHO, they're often just boring by comparison.
