Yuck, yuck, yuck... I find it morally repugnant and do not understand how anybody would want to "share" a loved one sexually with anybody.
I don't see how you can love someone, be their kindred spirit and see them get off with somebody else. If you truly love someone seeing them with somebody else would be just too painful I don't find that liberated ,just abhorrent and really twisted.
People always say "consenting adults, blah,blah,blah...." but I have always had a slight suspicion that one partner is always more willing than the other and that pleasing your partner has a lot to do with accepting to do something which is not truly your "cup of tea". I think a lot of people will feel pressurised into it when they actually hate it and feel really uncomfortable.
Swinging to me is showing a completely immature and irresponsible attitude to sex and relationships in general. Why even bother getting married if you want to have sex with other people ? Why just not stay single ?
Sex is the most intimate way to share yourself with somebody and swinging to me just cheapens it, makes it tawdry and sleazy. Also I would question your sexual and emotional happiness if your own wife/husband/partner is not good enough for you to satisfy you sexually. I would be devastated if I found out I wasn't enough for my other half.
It's a pretty grim admission of failure on both parts and really quite a depressing thought.

I've known a few swingers and it never works out, it's like asking for trouble. Why would anyone put themselves in that situation? Just stay single if you want to sleep around.

I wonder how many people who engage in this lifestyle are doing it because they truly desire to or because they are being pressured into it by a spouse.
I think that that way of life is absolutely silly.
