Why is it that beautiful women are only at bars and clubs? (husband, senior)

In order of impact -

1. You're drunk
2. They're dolled up (girls often spend a very long time dressing/makeup doing general prep)
3. The combination of dancing (pretty intense physical activity if you do it for a while) and the see and be seen atmosphere make the experience more pleasant for the more attractive girls and less for the lesser; and this skews who shows up.

Getting back to the guys. While they may look like tough guys I guarantee you they are nothing more that pretty boys that are more concerned with their appearance than anything else. Step up to one and he'll talk a tough game but stand your ground and he'll hide behind his girl while he calls for security. God forbid he breaks a nail, wrinkles his shirt or has to fix his hair or HIS makeup. Ran into a number of these idiots in my life and i'm sure there are more in Vegas.... You see there is a very specific type of personality that high end clubs attract and it's typically insecure types that feel the need to try to impress by showing off. These are not the types of people that end up in long term meaningful relationships so what's the point in wasting you time on them.

The prettiest girl I have ever seen worked at the local Jewel food store down the block from me. She was a down to earth college girl just trying to get by. Nice, friendly, sexy as hell and nothing to prove. We talked a few times then I ran into her at a different store. She wasn't working so I asked her out for lunch. We dated for a while until she was out of school. She eventually moved away but it was a great time while she was here.

I would recommend you not look for a relationship at these clubs as all you are going to find are superficial women and men that are more concerned with who they can impress than anything else.

The dilemma I had w/ the guy I was with was he love the clubs; I loathe clubs- not against havin' fun, just never got into them. Your post says it all

You're not going to find your wife - let alone a "steady" - at a Vegas nightclub. If you're shelling out $50, then you're likely going to clubs on the Strip where, if there are any true locals, they're waiting on the guys with bottle service to invite them over to their table.

It may be that you're trying to fight above your weight class. You may be better off starting out with your fellow locals on East Fremont Street, around UNLV or elsewhere off-Strip. Then there is the "tried-and-true" method of joining social groups with common interests.

Then again, I haven't read far enough to know if you're even looking for a long-term relationship. If not...then I shouldn't have to tell a Nevadan what to do.

You see the same women at the grocery store, coffee shop and gas station in a ponytail, light makeup and shorts n tank. They still probably look cute, and would look like street walkers in club clothes and makeup.

Maybe your perception is a tad skewed?

Let's not forget the women are drinking too! You look better to them too after a few drinks, and so they might make more eye contact with an average guy than on the street.

I once read that when an attractive woman makes direct eye contact with a man it ,like, increases his edorphins or something dramatic like that. So this natural "high" might make him feel he has entered some kind of harem or something. Plus all the other factors already pointed out. The booze, the make up, the push up bras.

This is easily the MOST accurate depiction of MOST--NOT ALL of the clientele at the VIP tables at my job.

Some of the guys--usually the younger ones-- NEED to come to Vegas and be a big shot because outside of the club they are nobodys.
Can't muster up the courage to talk to a girl in the supermarket, but they can come to Vegas and run the club.

It's easy in their minds....go to a known expensive nightclub in Vegas....buy a table....order bottler service...make they order the magnum size so the cocktail server {servers at that point} comes out with the LED lights so the entire club sees they just spent $1,500 on a bottle...sit back and wait for the slutty hot barely legal girls to try and get close to the table.
