Certainly my childhood was a happy time, with the exceptions of those typical childhood tragedies such as spilling the cocoa or watching your goldfish die.
Strangely enough, perhaps, my marriage was happy enough while it lasted, but the ceremony itself doesn't stand out in my mind. Same with my kids - I'm glad I have them and I love them dearly, but their birth was more associated with the emotions of apprehension, fear and terror.
I'll also echo the good friendship idea - my happiest moments in the last 10 or so years have been laughing and loving with friends.
...oh, and OF COURSE writing on C-D Relationships ... (we need a brown-noser smiley).
The happiest moments in my life aren't really related to people. Generally they're more along the lines of something happening that made me really happy- getting my first car (I love driving), getting some new CDs to put on my ipod (for when I go driving), when my EMT classes started, etc. I try not to rely on others to make me happy.
Like others there are a few too many to list here, but a couple stand out. I had a boss that would scream and yell at every person and jump up and down like an ape in every staff meeting. He was always trying to find ways to trip someone up to cover up his own incompetence. Well, he said something to me directly and then did something real crappy in front of other people.
I had to use the company Jeep to go to a meeting and his good suits were hanging there just back from the dry cleaners. So, on my way to the meeting I stopped and dropped them off at a homeless shelter. (I'm still laughing over it 10 years later). He was so disorganized he didn't know what he did with them.
Also, my brother and I passing this plastic lawn goose back and forth. I found it on the antenna to my car in a mall parking lot, the passenger side of my car. He found it pressed against his sliding back patio doors one morning and bungie corded to the front of his truck once. We must have passed that thing back and forth for at least 6 months to a year and then someone stole it.

It comes from my parents mostly leaving me to my own devices when I was younger and when I was a teenager- I was one of those "latchkey kids". I look out for MYSELF... but am loyal to any friends.
My happiest moments do center around relationships with offspring, but some times when I am alone, I realize just how happy I am at that moment.
