You silly peoples, you!

Watched one of "my girls" do an upside-down slide down a 20' pole, flipping over at the end into a full split.

Inspirational.

Not yet, but it does have some heavy-duty world competitions that they take quite seriously. It's amazing the kinesthetics you need for it.

Sorry - kinesthetics is a person's ability to sense and efficiently utilize feedback from their body. Athletes usually have an excellent kinesthetic sense - martial arts, my field, that's pretty much ALL you train.

Acrobatic dancers like pole dancers are upside-down, spinning, tumbling, all while 20' in the air on a 3"-diameter metal pole - to music. THAT takes millions and millions of tactile and directional data bits and runs them through the brain. After extensive training and practice, you learn to shortcut the path and feed the stimulus directly from the sensing organ to the muscles, instead of to the brain.

Sorry - I could talk about this stuff all day.

See you learn something everyday...I will never quite look at pole dancers the same way...wait that didn't sound right! Well you know what I'm saying!
