Been a hectic two weeks! Fall yard work, an unexpected visit from my son last weekend, and then my (planned) visit to Tech this weekend. I think I took up enough food and goodies to last him until Thanksgiving!
His best bud came running out his dorm when I got there...he had already messaged me on FB and knew that the goodies were on the way. As much as I hate the 5 hour drive over and back, I have to say it is so good seeing him there, so happy, and just kicking the classes. He's got it all figured out. He's back to eating right (he lost his mind the first month and ate everything in sight ), hitting the gym every night, and, well, the schoolwork he already had down. He's a good kid. I miss him, but it sure makes me feel better, knowing that he is so happy there, and doing so so well.
And of course he loaded me up with some new tunes too.

Better when they are grilled but roasted will work too!

Cutting back on the wine??? Are you feeling okay???
Just run MORE! Heck I will cut calories all over, but I will not cut out my coffee or my wine.

Funny how some things get connected piece by piece and not always at the same time.
My wife's standard mode answer for those who ask her if she is staying here is "if we win the lottery", I always thought she was just being evasive, which she was........... with me.
She interviewed with another company this past week and after some discussion it occurred to me she will not accept the position if offered.
A department with her current employer is able to remain here which she has expressed interest with a potential opening, problem being since this department is "fractured" from the rest of the company the chance of moving up is limited unless we relocate.
So what I thought was a glimmer of hope at the end of the tunnel has turned out to be a train.
Charlie Brown always put it eloquently "I doomed."
Just venting.
