Mmmmokay. You asked why women don't hold Stallone as the gold standard of men; I answered. Visit any of the countless threads about sexy celebrity men. I bet you a dollar that you won't find one woman naming Stallone as her dream celebrity man. What men and women admire in their own genders differs. I think Cate Blanchett is one of the most beautiful women in the world, but I don't think I've ever seen a MAN say so. You think Stallone is manly, but he doesn't appeal to many women. I think he's good-looking, and if I were single and had the opportunity I might have me some of that, but viewing him as an ideal specimen of man? No way.

I think most chicks, even those who like tall guys, would overlook Stallone's height if given the chance to sleep with him.
I know. I also didn't call him short, just shorter than me. My husband is 6'3". He knows I love the really tall ones. 6'4" and up puts my head on a swivel. He's the same way with tall women. He wants to go back to Ikea because there's a blonde who's probably 6'2" working there. Silly man.

Around 6 ft and up.

I just don't find shorter guys attractive as they usually are either fat or too stocky when you start to dip below the 6ft mark. And if they are a slim build well..thats just too tiny under 6 ft. I like a guy to be taller than me when Im in heels too. It feels odd looking down to your date and they just stare at your chest.

Go on any dating website, and if a woman specifies a certain height, it's always at least 5'11" or 6'.

Awesome. I'm 5'10".

You know I don't really have a ideal height range. They've gone from 5'2" to 6'7" so I'm pretty open

That would be a bit odd looking.

I'm a bit under 5'9 and it hasn't held me back at all (my late wife was an inch or so taller than me). Sure there are some gals that had profiles saying "only guys 6' or taller" just like there are guy profiles saying they don't want overweight gals blah blah blah.

It's all about personal preference.

The only strong opinion I have on such a topic is that I have ZERO sympathy for a guy or gal that has a list of stringent criteria and then cries that they can't find anybody. If you are going to have a hard and fast check list where you reject someone because they happen to be 2 inches "too short" or not having at least C's up top or being blonde instead of brunette then you have to (wo)man up and live with your self-selection.

Best of luck to all.
