The other day a guy at work signed out for a leave day to "babysit" his own child.

Why is it a mothers duty to care for her child but when dad does it, it is babysitting.

It was probably just an off-handed term he was using. His wife probably says it to when she takes care of the kids.

When it comes to dating, women can be cheap and its totally acceptable. A woman can complain if a man doesn't take care of her expenses. Have a guy complain and he's terrible.

Man living with his family is seen with negativity (a loser, cheap, no future, etc.). Woman living with her familiy, no problem.

But it does make men more desirable, attractive, a better prospect, etc.

Not necessarily. There are those men with lots of money who think they can buy anything and anyone. To me that makes them repulsive.

May be repulsive to you but desirable/attractive/sexy/manly to many others. I can see a woman with plastic boobs, mini skirt, acting sexy, etc. and I find it repulsive while many other guys might be drooling for her. Yup, there are exceptions out there.

Put 2 nice gentleman together. One of them drives an expensive luxurious sports car, has a fancy elegant attractive job, big house, good looking, sexy body, etc. The other one is attractive and in good shape but doesn’t have a car, live with his parents, is a waiter, only has a GED, etc. Come on, who do you think will have more women all over him?

Another double standard. Men have to put some effort, romancing, creativity, money, etc. to get sex. Women don’t need to sweat it.

Women can be broke and still be acceptable for her to date. A man? No way.

You're going outside the bounds of just money here. Instead of an uneducated person who cannot survive on his own, maybe come up with someone more middle of the road.

It's a certain kind of man who will date a jobless, broke woman. Men with their shyte together by and large date women with their shyte together. Period.

Men and women have their equal share of double standards that benefit them (well, maybe men have more benefits, due to social stratification and class struggle).

The stereotype says the first. Personally I don't know. lol I've never been able to relate to much of what I've read makes men attractive to women.

We'll use a guy who's more "in the middle of the road" and women would still go for the guy who is more, hhhhmmm financially secure. Men with money, assets, luxurious car, etc. are more attractive to women, come on, why deny it?

Put a sexy woman showing cleavage, legs, etc. who is fun to talk to and all next to a woman who is also fun to talk to and all but is wearing a turtle neck. Who will have more guys all over her? Can't deny who would that be either.

Straight women can go out with their girlfriends, but straight men cannot go out with their boyfriends. There are dozens of Women's hospitals, but I doubt there is even one for men.
