What other situations can you think of where there are double standards between the sexes in relationships.
I'm not so sure about that. If they know each other well, some men will compliment their friend's haircut, shoes, or suit by asking where they can buy these things as well.
Double standards
It is a woman's perogative to change her mind, but in certain instances, this same behavior makes a man look like a wimpy flake.
Why does the beer-bellied, balding and ponytailed, hawaiian shirt wearing Ron Jeremy look alike say he will accept no less than a dead ringer for Barbie? Does he lack a full length mirror at home, or just common sense?
Why do single dads get lauded as "heroes", and single moms get derided as pariahs and moral menaces and economic burdens to the fabric of society? Single dad applies for food stamps and housing assistance, no bats an eye. He gets an attaboy for looking out for his kids.
On top of that, the morals of an alleycat are attributed to single moms by people who don't know one thing about the individual situations.
Men aren't told that they have to choose between a successful relationship and family and having a successful career. A man who works 12-hour days isn't assumed to be a neglectful husband and father the way a woman working the same hours is.

Sorry. Just can't conceive of the money that could be offered as making up for the unfortunate sex that would occur. Once you get right down to it, "Ew" might be a kind understatement of the problem.
