Mod cut: Orphaned.

As for the OP, going to the circus would be ok, but a nice dinner at a nice restaurant would be better!

We're both adults with no kids, i simply love the circus!

I've never been to Ringling Bros & Barnum & Bailey Circus, so i'm thinking about asking a young lady i've been talking with lately, would she like to go to the circus with me.
Of course! Everybody loves the circus!!

EH...not to me it wouldn't. I think the circus is a very original and fun idea for a date. I haven't been in years, and I would go in a heartbeat if asked, as a date. Dinner, to me, is a boring boring date.

Mod cut: Off topic.

I don't want to hijack the thread and take it off topic, but I'll just say this. I love animals. Love them from African cats & elephants, to horses, goats, birds....right on down to lizards and frogs. I'm sure that PETA folks do serve a purpose...some times. But when you are as close to their headquarters as where I am, you hear so much of the complete nonsense and PITA crap that they pull, you get tired of them REALLY fast. Truly...most people here roll their eyes every time they hear them mentioned.

DH and I are married for almost 31 years. A couple of years ago, he took me to the circus on one of our "dates". We had a great time. We never went when our kids were young, because our oldest was terrified of clowns.

Go and have fun! Buy her a balloon and some cotton candy.

What a coincidence. I was actually thinking of telling a date to take me to the circus for our first date. It never materialized, though. But still, I thought it was a great idea. The circus was in town at the time. I do wonder about the mistreatment of animals and hope that not everyone who has a circus mistreats animals. Maybe it is a thing of the past? Hopefully they are treated decently nowadays.

It sounds fun in theory, but in practice, be careful: in first grade, we took a field trip to the circus, and somehow after I left, my coat stunk really bad...IDK how the odor got there, but it reeked of animal ****. So be careful so it doesn't happen to you or your date, because that would kill the romance.

I too was subjected to the elementary school field trip to the circus.

Even as a child I was not impressed. I think we actually enjoyed the bus ride the most.

The last time I went to this circus there were some protesters outside claiming the circus
abuses their animals with big posters. So it could be a potential downer to bring a date here if they are animal
lovers seeing these protesters.

Otherwise the show itself was very entertaining.
