Hey, don't get me wrong. In the end, I love all women. And am attracted to short, tall, black, white, whatever. My own mother is practically a saint in my eyes. She is only 5 foot. My sister the same height. My mother doesn't eat anymore than the next person, and exercises every day for an hour (she's 63 yrs old) and can never seem to lose the weight. I feel for her. I know she's not a bit pudgy from laziness or lack of exercise. Just unfortunately for her she was born short. I swear, she has more energy than most people I know twenty years younger.

And I've had crushes in highschool with girls who were short (really short like one in particular I think was 4'11. She was cute as a button. I was short to til tenth grade. I thought I'd never grow. I was like 5'4 and boom within a year shot up to 5'10 in tenth grade. My mom used to tease me and say that she wanted to hang me from a pole to stretch me out because I was so short. I wrestled for years, and ran x-country. And logged millions of hours on the basketball court,-perhaps none of it helped. It's just ole' fashion genetics. Then by 11th grade I was close to 6 foot, and the year following high school I shot up to 6'1. I guess one could argue I was a late bloomer..So I've been there. In junior high, I was one of three kids who were the shortest. Short does not eguate to not cute. But like I said, because I've seen it with my mother. I know how hard a really short girl has to work out just to maintain and in many instances it still does no good. My poor sister eats like a bird to maintain her all but 110 pounds. Plus I'm just a sucker for long legs..We like what we like. No hate with that.

OMG this is a TERRIBLE poll. I wanted to choose several answers because I agreed with them..

I think you need to re-phrase the Poll to limit the issues..because it seems you are focusing on 5'7 as the barrier height for men and women as overweight (exactly where does one draw the line between overweight and obese anyway?? What about women who are on the verge of obesity but carry the weight better than someone who is shorter but looks like Roseanne Barr?).

Worst poll ever. Not only are there a couple of questions being asked. You cant even choose more than one answer. Horrible. Go back to the drawing board and try again.

4'11 here and I'm still the same size as I was back in high school. Genetic is a beautiful thing. Btw, I did gain a couple of pounds but I feel as healthy as a nut that is full of monounsaturated fat, haha. I have seen overweight women with thin men, and men who are under 5'7 with women of the same height or shorter. Not so much with taller women but it's there. With someone like my height? I think it's tough. Not many people take you serious for being short.
