It's not the same when you are a kid. I think I might have read it in school as well. When I was in school - I didn't read most of the books I was supposed to and now, as an adult, I read like a fiend! Anyway - To Kill A Mockingbird is one of THE best books in existence. If you like to read at all - READ IT! Honestly - you get so much more out of it as an adult. You just aren't capable of appreciating it as a kid the way you are as an adult. I understand why they have kids read it in school but it's almost a shame that so many might never pick it up again. It truly is an amazing book. Oh - and the movie is brilliant! But once again - I think you need to be an adult to truly appreciate it.

I like it too. I like how everyone in the book has their own story. Anikin is a great lawyer. The slow man is a kind hearted soul who did nothing to the poor women who wants him to take the fall. Anikin's daughter learns the strength in her father. The daughter also learn about class when her poor friend comes over to eat and he pours molasses on everything because it's filling.

I used to belong to a book club until they cut me off cuz I wasn't making the payments. Haven't read any good books lately. Last one I read that I thought was really good was '"The Da Vinci Code" before it came out in film. That was several years ago.
