My daughter was worried about trying so many things for the first time at the same meal and I suggested we (myself, her husband) could try cooking one of the dishes to help take some of the load off. We were talking about which ones to attempt and he said he might as well draw it from a hat as he didn't know how to cook one any more than another. That's when my daughter laughed and said the same could be said of her. From there it didn't take long to get to the draw. It was fun today, we all helped each other and I'm thinking most of the goodies should turn out or at least not be too bad.

Sounds like it's gonna be a nice holiday for ya'll, & I love it that you're helping It'll probably turn out better than she's expecting, turkey is no big deal to cook...just remember to baste it & it'll be fine

I'm on my own today. I went to Jersey last week for the funeral and to see my grandmother in the hospital. I'm making up for some of the lost work time this weekend and my husband opted to work today since we aren't going down. I'll have dinner for him when he gets home today. I'm making up pistachio encrusted salmon, creamy mashed potato, salad, and chocolate pudding banana pie.
