I wish people would just be honest with the other when you dont want to go out with them. I have more respect for someone who is honest enough to tell me why they won't go out with me. I could get over it & move on then some made up crap they said to get out of it.

If I don't want to see someone after the first date I do not encourage them to contact me and if they do I do not respond to their calls or texts.

After a second date, I will say, I gave it a chance but this isn't what I am looking for.

After a few dates and someone turns out to have been hiding their real personality anmd I don't like the real thing, I tell them, hey, you're not who you pretended to be and I don't need that kind of dishonesty in my life. BYE.

Avoiding making a date and breaking a date are two different things but I'm delighted you've been able to create a new thread for a new dilemma to add to the mix. By the way, what happened to your "dating thread" and how come you're even thinking about dating when you said that sort of activity was temporarily curtailed because of the probability that you're about to be laid off again?
