I don't know this one, but there is a saying about last-call-at-the-bar hot.
Geez, once some people dragged me to a concert in a dive bar. There were some women in their 60's (if not even 70's) dressed in skanky outfits draping themselves over some younger guys... It was a sad picture. If somebody has read the book "Zorba the Greek" or seen the movie, they were just like Bubulina.
If a guy doesn't "release" (if you know what I mean) for an extended period of time- is he more likely to consider an otherwise unattractive lady attractive?
Just a curiousity about male sexual nature
Desperate times call for desperate measures.
To answer the question yes, if I were going through a drought like that would probably have to lower my standards.
i guess this is the "blue balls" syndrome you're referring to? but to answer your question, yes, most guys, myself included, will typically lower our standards for a bit if its been a long time, say 2 - 3 months or more. every one of my friends has done it at some point in their lives, most do it quite often in fact.

Not really. Although if an unattractive woman were in an environment of all guys, she will start looking attractive rather quickly. At the gym or at my old male dominated engineering school, I lowered my standards of checking out woman. Started thinking, "umm I guess I could see myself doing that". But then once I stepped out into public again, my standards went back to normal. What a difference a closed environment makes.
Interesting... I am gone give yall a female perspective here: all women are packing the same gold mind and basically they all will work... I dated a guy who told me the worst piece he ever had was good and that chic was ugly... I don't know of any woman who can't get a man. Maybe not the exact one of her dreams, but she can git one if she want one.
I've always been kinda picky. Beauty for me is more than skin deep, so if it was a woman that I didn't find attractive, I never tried very hard to get her into bed. I dated a couple that I stopped dating because they wanted more than just a friendship. I tried to not get too involved with someone I knew I wouldn't be interested in romantically.

After 50 years, sure...why not.
Seriously, though. No.
