Horrible smell coming from sleeping girlfriend (women, love, advice, living together)

I'm a jerk, let me admit.

Let me explain what happened.

She talked her way into moving in with me and since then she's been fighting and one of the things she's been fighting about is the condition of the apt including the rugs being filthy and dusty. I tried to warn her but.........................

Anyway she's a bit of a clean freak re her body but she had told me yesterday that all her clothes had become dirty and she needed to wash them............

I have different work hours than she does

Came into bed at 4 AM, she was asleep, I smelled an overpowering and horrible smell from her. She got up at 6, I mentioned it to her, she immediately stretched the meaning of what I was saying, into ridiculous extremes (MY nasty smell is INVADING YOUR pristine apartment, THAT'S what you are telling me).

And the whole odor was gone

And she might be too

I know I'm an idiot and you can tear me up too if you want but just so I'll know from the more experienced..................what could cause an odor like that?

People seriously need to be matched up well with regards to cleanliness and personal hygiene before living together. A neat freak could drive someone a bit more messy absolutely INSANE, just as a messier person can drive a neat person utterly BONKERS. Body odor and dirty carpets aside, it sounds like you two do not live together well.

I had a girlfriend that had Vagitosis so bad I would lose my excitement immediately. She was not so happy when I brought it up and I was as delicate as possible. I don't know how she didn't know!

To the OP, is it feminine odor? Do you know what that smells like? I have been with some women that have it, it happens. Anyway, what the hell kind of advice are you looking for? I guess you could just quarantine her side of the bed. LOL sooooo funny.

In my bathroom I have a framed ditty with silly stick figures entitled, "Bottom Burps" and reads:

"If your bottom burps in public
Try and say in time
'Goodness gracious what a whiff
It doesn't smell like mine!"

I can't imagine what else it might have been unless she got something dead and decaying caught between her toes but surely she would have smelled that herself whereas if she did indeed fart ...
