Please do try not to feel terrible about kicking him out - there is nothing at all to feel terrible about. Just get him the heck out of your space and laugh about what a total putz he is!
Yes to all of the posts - what a douche waffle. What I find most puzzling is that he ordered you to pay for his condoms. You are way better natured than I might've been but I understand that this was the first time he acted this way...holy smokes. If ya'll have had a platonic relationship all of these years and he was well aware of the arrangements coming to visit, then you really shouldn't feel guilty about getting him the heck out. Also, he wants YOU to make his arrangements for a hotel? ****-ant...
Like I said, I think you are way better natured than I could be in this situation...oh, and you were right...this post was very entertaining. Happy Birthday and may next year go much more smoothly. And since I tend to celebrate my birthday all month long (usually just in spirit), may the rest of the month be much, much better!!!
mayalevi...I really can't believe how you feel you must go out of your way for this man....who cares if you've known him for 50 years....he's an a##, who has blantantly shown you by his actions and words that he has absolutely NO RESPECT for you....I'd be embarrassed to call someone like that a friend.....in fact I wouldn't....as for telling him how to leave...like others have said... the nicest words I could think of for that sob would be F##K Off...and don't come back......really....believe me... you won't be loosing anything.....I wouldn't rack my brain as to why he is what he is......surely this isn't the type of "friend" you want in your life??
The TWO boxes of condoms was the huge red flag!!! I've said this many times on this forum...men don't want to be "only" friends with women...they have other guys for that!
Telling him to leave politely and respectively is not warranted. Just tell him to get out and disappear...for good.
[what an xxxhole]
Yeah, it floors me that she thinks she needs to be "respectful and polite" to such a cad
