- Lives WAY below his means.

- Doesn't have too much of a social life outside of work.

- Likes to spend a lot of free time at coffee shop or library, usually on laptop.

- Doesn't watch TV frequently

- Isn't obsessed with pop culture

- Is fairly health conscious but not obsessively (works out or eats reasonably healthy.)

- Does not participate in competitive sports

- Does not have very many physical possessions. Has simple car and house (or rents.)

- Spends far less money than the average person in his income bracket (but may not be this frugal with his lady.) Has little/no debt. Invests a large portion of every paycheck.

- Likes to travel overseas. Would rather spend more on overseas travel than on house, car, etc. Overseas travel is pretty much the only luxury in this person's life.

- MBTI (personality) INTP, INTJ, or ISTP.

Fyi, this is NOT a description of me although I do fit several of the items..
Sounds like 80% of the guys I have worked with. In a couple of cases it is a shame, because they would be good husbands. I noticed women tend to go for more outgoing guys who APPEAR to have a lot more money....but on the other hand a lot of them were perverts (pornography)...but I am convinced every guy is like that so who knows?

To answer the OP's question, I think guys like that are dumb. Women should see past their cheap car (or no car) and the last-years-fashion and the untrimmed hair and love them for themselves...but the majority of women are not like that. Oh...I guess I know a lot of guys like that, but they're not usually loners. They hang out a lot with other guys.

I think they should try a little harder to be appealing and they'd easily be able to enjoy a relationship with a attractive and loving woman.

Sounds good to me and much like my DH. I was never into the type of guy who always had to run in a pack and have people over all the time, not my thing. My DH has one close friend who lives 3 hours away and many acquaintances through work and other things.

My sister-in-law was a wild one back in the 80's...this sounds like the guy we all had to convince her to marry...turned out to be a great husband and father!!! The guys that are the life of the party types are usually not the husband/father material!!

REad up on asperger's syndrome and see if it fits. It may be that he can't get social cues or can't empathize. If he has asperger's, there are lots of challenges that don't come out right away.

You've pretty much described me, except you forgot "offbeat and sometimes dirty sense of humor".
