I find these kind of comments.... interesting. Do people with lots of money not have relationship issues? Or just that they wouldn't/ shouldn't/ don't spend time on the Internet?

Oh and what's the cut off point before you would no longer request the advice of strangers?
Anyone over $75,000 annual income? A net worth of $500,000 and over? Millionaires?
Just interested and not picking on you - I see these kind of comments fairly regularly and am always bemused.

Jealous people. Can't digest other people making a ton more. Perhaps makes them feel bad and worthless

Even annonymously? That's the only time I would talk money. For example I have posted a couple of times on the real estate forum that our house is paid off, but in real life hardly anyone knows.

Meh if people here asked my net worth I probably wouldn't be that coy about it, whereas in real life I find talking about money in that way deeply uncomfortable.

Yes. I cannot imagine the people I know posting anything about their personal wealth. They might speak in generalities but they would never get specific. Most wouldn't even talk about the value of their house(s).

They'd consider it bad taste and nobody else's business. In that order.

But the man asked for wife advice, why do people fixate on the money part without advising on the wife, though he oddly put it out up front.

I'm being generic. People in general frown upon those with money, like some anti-elitism feeling, a concept that's gripped the whole country and world

I'm guessing because he mentioned a rather large sum right off the bat. He could have said, "I'm in the position where I can hire a maid, blah blah blah."
