If the punchline didn't work the first time, it will not work the second or third time.

Chow... I know what you mean. I am looking forward to getting the landscape work going full bore. I am ready for spring to get started so I can build to it.

Work pressure has been getting to me for the last several months... I need a vacation...... badly......

I am hearing ya here Chow. I just want to lie on a beach drinking cocktails, then swim out in the warm blue sea and return to a luxury suite where I can have sex all night long.

I'll volunteer to wait in the luxury suite and keep the cocktails cold. Just don't burn all your energy during the swim.

You'll need it when you return.

I finally get it...why others can't stand kids in restaurants.

These kids (not mine...I shot them the evil eye and they knew not to participate) were screaming, running around (yup...RUNNING!), up and down out of their chairs, chanting "we want food" ...etc. Granted we had a private room...but if my kids EVER, EVER pulled that crap we'd be up and gone.

And the sick part is...NONE of these other parents got up to tell their kid to shut the flip up or correct any of their behavior.

It was truly SHOCKING to witness.
Maybe there's still hope for humanity after all.

Being a parent I'm kind of surprised you haven't noticed this behavior because as a non-parent I notice it reeaaal quick.

I can go along with that; when we dine out we rarely dine at "family style" restaurants and usually select places that are out of reach for the average family budget. I can recount many occasion where obnoxious kid(s) made for an unpleasant meal.
Can anyone clue me in on what would possess parent bringing an infant out at 9pm for dinner?

I wanna try and retire before I'm a friggin fossil....... thinking about selling every asset, buying a big ass RV and traveling and living in the mother....

I've been starting to read up on it... a lot of people do it..... they come with every kind of luxury you could imagine... throw up a dish on that sucker and get web access, cell phone coverage now hits most places....

Live simple and cheap and free, with less encumbrances......

Lack of a good baby sitter and common sense.

I tried to talk my SO into that, he wasn't impressed. How does SoG feel about it. I tell you though, we live once, it's ridiculous to work our asses off til we die and never really be free to just live. The more I think about it the more I yearn for freedom, I want off this elevator belt of the rat race.

Right, I remember my bedtime being 8pm as a kid, dinner was at 6pm even on the rare occasion when we dined out.
