Beer is sold at beer distributors by the case, or you can buy a six pack at some bars. Wine and liquor are sold at state stores.

Good grief! This sounds worse than Utah! I believe at least they had everything in their "state" liquor stores.

These liquor laws sound like the carolinas. Drives me nuts every year when I go to obx.

I'm in the Carolinas. We can buy wine and beer in the grocery store, liquor at the ABC. Can't buy it before noon on Sunday either but isn't a huge deal.

What part of OBX do you vacation in?

My friend texted me at 4 telling me that we were out of booze.

at 4:30 I was released from work and flew to the nearest lequor store

at 5pm I left the liquor store with woodchuck hard cider, rolling rock beer, and a handle of captain.


at 5:15 I arrived booze in hand, and were placed into the fridge and freezer.

Crisis averted.
