Well, the dogs barked an hour later and the birds started chirping an hour earlier ...

Our bird woke me up around 6:30, yelling at some of the dogs and telling me another dog can talk. Now she (the bird) is barking.

I watched a little of the St. Patrick's Day parade (the local version - Scranton, PA) on the telly yesterday.

I can't believe they broadcast the whole thing.

I think I was spoiled at an early age by NYC's parades - this one was quite different. Old guys wearing tuxes and green-and-gold sashes staggering down the street as if they just fell out of a bar ... "floats" that basically looked like that earlier pic here with the old Ford pick-up and the chicks (except of course the "chicks" looked more like Yetis) ... the local SCA chapter in cardboard armor whacking each other with broomsticks ...

*sigh*

MY town's parade is today but of course there's no bus service on Sundays and I have to teach, so I'll try to see some of it on TV (if they broadcast it).

Who said anything about sleep?

I just stand around like a zombie and listen to things.

LOL! I love talking birds - especially when they aren't mine!

I still wish I had the one I borrowed from a friend years ago when I was doing a pirate character at a fair - the bird would yell "WENCH! WENCH!" whenever a girl would walk by.
